Peter Panto brought to you by Stranraer Drama Club is the clubs 47th annual Pantomime, this adaptation of the beloved children’s adventure was written by Suzan Holder and co-produced this year by Maureen Gallacher, a treasured Panto star in Stranraer. it is the second pantomime Maureen has produced first producing the Wizard of Oz in 2012, and Lana McClorey who is still a junior member but has taken a strong interest in producing is getting her first taste of producing a show.
It is an action packed adaptation, which brings all the usual pantomime fun together with song and dance played by the Stranraer Drama Club band consisting of Ross Alexander, Derek Laburn, Ian McGhie, Yvonne Baillie. Join Peter Pan played by local musician Kyle Anderson and his fairy friend Tinkerbell played this year by not one but two members Chloe Collins, and Rhiannon Woonton, who will share the role doing alternate nights as they take Wendy, John Michael played by Kathleen McClenaghan, Dylan Kinahan and Mason Avci, travel to Neverland for an adventure with Indians, Lost Boys, Crocodiles and Pirates lead by Captain Hook played by John Crawfurd. There is also an additional star to this years pantomime as no pantomime is complete without a dame Mrs Hook played by Emma Aikens, the mother of captain hook tries to sort out her rouge of a son.
The 2014 Pantomime produced by Stranraer Drama Club came so close to selling out the Ryan Centre theatre in Stranraer and are looking to break the record for ticket sales this year, tickets are on sale in Reid’s, Stranraer. And the show starts on Monday 7th December and runs until Saturday 12th December. A full line up of the cast is below:
