“There have been no further cases of the suspected norovirus which has affected Ward 16 at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. The total number of patients remains 6. Ward 16 remains closed to admissions, transfers and routine visiting.
All infection control measures are in place and the outbreak control team will meet again tomorrow to review the situation. Members of the public who have symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoea are asked not to visit the hospital until 48 hours after symptoms have resolved.”
