SMASHING SUCCESS AT RHINS PRIMARY SCHOOLS BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Rhins Primary schools badminton Championship was held over Tuesday 2, Wednesday 3 and Monday 7 December. This year a fantastic 133 schoolchildren entered the Championship.
The Championship comprised of 3 events –
• Singles
• Doubles
• Mixed Doubles
The skill level from all participants in all events was ‘smashing’, and demonstrates the excellent work that both the schools and the Council’s Active sports and community sports officers do to develop the skills of our regions children.
All events were held at Stranraer Academy and supported by the PE department and parent volunteers Mrs Munro and Mrs Sproat who gave up their time to umpire on the nights.
The results for all the events are as follows:
