Police are investigating after recieving a report of a 49-year-old woman being sexually assaulted in Dumfries town centre in the early hours of this morning.
In a short statement made by a spokesperson for Police Scotland today it was said “Officers are following a positive lead in this case after a report that around 3.20am this morning, January 14, a 49-year-old woman had been sexually assaulted in Loreburn Street, Dumfries.”
Investigations are reported to be ongoing,the area outside Chancers nightclub has been taped off.
