Organisers of the Dumfries and Galloway ‘Monsters Ball for Macmillan’ met with Angela McCormack, Fundraising Manager for Macmillan Cancer Support (Lanarkshire and Dumfries & Galloway), earlier this week and were pleased to present her with a cheque for £542.31.
The fundraising event that was held at Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries on 31st October 2015 was a charity ball like no other! Guests joined in the fiendish Halloween fun by attending in their ghoulish finery and were treated to an evening of spooktacular entertainment and monstrous mayhem, with music, charity auction, fancy dress competition, guest medium and a Rocky Horror tribute cabaret!
Fundraisers Rachael and Emma said, “We are delighted to have raised this money for a cause close to our hearts and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us, from everyone who bought tickets and joined us on the night, to all the businesses and individuals who very generously donated items for our auction and raffle and all the people who helped us bring it all together on the night to make our event a success.”
Plans are already underway for the Monsters Ball 2016, which will take place on 29th October at Easterbrook Hall. The event will once again be held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, with all proceeds going to the charity.
