Maidens of Music is a four day festival in May celebrating the amazing female talent we have in Dumfries and Galloway. Over 60 female artists will take part in the events and each day is sponsored by a different charity. All money raised from the events will be divided between those charities: Women’s Aid, The Oncology Unit, Massive Outpouring of Love and The Music Room Foundation (charitable status pending).
Every Saturday throughout the month The Music Room, and The Globe (+The Coach & Horses 14th May) present a diverse mix of artists, from solo musicians to rock bands to belly dancers. The aim of the festival is to bring together female artists to celebrate and support each other while flying the banner to inspire others to have a go. Everyone is welcome and there are open mic spots on the 14th for anyone wanting to join in.
Events take place in the courtyard between The Music Room and The Globe (weather permitting) and will be transferred into either venue in case of rain. The Coach and Horses are running their event on the 14th May.
