South Scotland MSP Emma Harper has thanked all the voters across the South of Scotland who voted in the Scottish elections on May the 5th.
Speaking following a busy first week in Holyrood, Ms Harper said:
“I’ve had a whirlwind first few days in parliament. I have been fortunate to have met many helpful and supportive people and I already feel at home in my new surroundings.”
“I want to thank my husband Robertson, family and friends and all the supporters who have helped me get to Holyrood.”
Continuing Miss Harper commented:
“I am looking forward to the challenges ahead in the next five years and I am eager to get started. As a former nurse and local business owner, I have a lot to contribute to my new role. I look forward to engaging with and helping people.”
“I am currently in the process of setting up a local office. In the meantime, I am having my first surgery between 12 and 4pm on Friday 20th of May in the parliamentary office on Dumfries High Street. For any other enquiries please contact 01387 255334.”
