Police in Dalbeattie continue to seek information regarding the sighting of a lady, believed to be in her 80’s, wearing a pink House Coat, walking on the Dalbeattie to Haugh of Urr Road on Friday morning just before 7am on Friday 3 June 2016. While we have had a response following the earlier appeals we have still been unable to categorically identify the lady in question and as a result have been unable to ensure she is safe and well. Although there is nothing to suggest that the lady in question has come to any harm, or failed to reach her destination, we would like to identify and trace her, to confirm that she is indeed safe and well. The lady was dressed in a pink dressing gown, slippers and was carrying a black handbag. She was about 5′ tall and of slim build. At this time, we have had no reported missing persons matching this description. Inspector Stewart McColm, from Dumfries and Galloway Police Division said today: “We would be keen to hear from anybody who may have seen this lady on that road just prior to 7am, or who may know who she is. If you regularly drive that road, have you seen an elderly lady walking in that area in similar circumstances before? If you have a family member, friend or neighbour who might fit that description, who could have been in the area at that time, we’d like to hear from you.” Anyone with information can contact officers based in Dumfries and Galloway Division via the 101 number.
