UPDATE: Iain has been found safe and well
Police Scotland is seeking the assistance of the public and the media in trying to locate a man missing from Corsock in Stewarty.
Iain Butler (54) is from Cirencester in England and is in Scotland visiting family at Glenstairs Lodge in Corsock.
He was last seen by a family a member around 1800 hrs on Saturday 2 July 2016.
Iain is around 6 ft tall, with a medium build, fair skin, blue eyes and short grey hair. He is normally clean shaven and wears glasses. When last seen he was wearing a blue ‘Weird Fish’ jumper, blue jeans, white trainers and carrying a black rucksack. He speaks with an English accent. It’s believed he has taken a multi-coloured pedal bike with him.
Sergeant Julia McKie said:
“Extensive enquiries have been undertaken to try and find Iain, unfortunately, our efforts have so far proved unsuccessful. Iain has recently been dealing with some personal issues and concern for him is growing. He has never gone missing before and his family just want to know he is safe and well.”
