Dumfries Music Conference Is Back In Town

Dumfries Music Conference returns for the fourth edition: Friday 21 – Saturday 22 October 2016 at The Stove Network

Organisers state that they have a very special line-up:
– Stuart Macpherson presents ‘Flight’ – an immersive soundscape on Dumfries High Street
– Mark Lyken (Artist) presents Oscillon Response: Mark Lyken – sonic responses and visualisations with Ben F Laposky’s groundbreaking 1950’s art works
– In conversation with Brian Cannon (Microdot) – graphic designer, photographer and music video director extraordinaire for Oasis, The Verve, Johnny Marr, Super Furry Animals, Jagwar Ma and loads more
-Veteren Radio Presenter Jim Gellatly’s Radio Masterclass + live music from Indigo Velvet, Zoë Bestel, Brat and the Bonemen.
-An EXHIBITION by local designer Neil Paterson. Many of the posters that you’ve seen advertising gigs in Dumfries over the last 20-odd years are likley by Neil.
-Radio DMC will also be broadcasting live across the weekend, presented by Melissa Gunn Small Town Sounds, Chazz and Craig Deep Fried Soul and Jim Gellatly, with performances from local and touring musicians.
