Police Scotland are carrying out enquires after it was discovered lead has been stolen from the roof of Lochmaben Primary School and Lochmaben Community Centre.
The thefts occurred sometime over the weekend, between Friday 20th and Monday 23rd January 2017.
Constable Lisa Duff said: “Although the cost of the lead is minimal, the cost of the repair work will run into several hundred pounds. I would ask that anyone with information about these thefts or who may have seen something suspicious at either location, contacts police on the 101 number”.
