One of the region’s leading IT support and telecommunications providers – 8020 – has acquired the Kirkcudbright based business CMS Broadband Ltd.
With the team’s excellent reputation for service and expertise, 8020 manages the IT infrastructure for many leading businesses across Dumfries & Galloway, as well as managing thousands of business mobile phones across the UK.
Andrew Edgar, Managing Director of 8020, is looking forward to expanding the business reach through their latest acquisition:
“We are delighted to have acquired CMS Broadband Ltd. The acquisition strengthens our position as the leading Communications and IT Support provider in Dumfries & Galloway and extends our reach, particularly in the West of the region. Our business has always been really focussed on delivering great service and our team is looking forward to developing relationships with the new clients this acquisition brings.”
Based near Kirkcudbright, CMS was formed in 1990 to support the local agricultural industry with IT solutions.
CMS Broadband’s John Carson is looking forward to continuing to provide agricultural services and website design following the acquisition by 8020:
“We would like to say a big thank you to all our customers, many of whom we have worked with for a long time – we’re confident that their IT and communications services are in very safe hands with 8020.
Meanwhile, we’ll continue to provide farm accounts and FarmData support under our new name, Conchieton Solutions Ltd as well as continuing our website design service through our subsidiary, Design Farm.”
The existing support team from CMS will be integrated into 8020’s workforce, which should in turn ensure that the transition is smooth and there will be no break in service for the clients as a result of the acquisition.
