A local farmer and his family have received praise for the all the work and investment they have put into their project ‘Ernespie Farm Park‘ near Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway, which is helping create new jobs and will boost the local economy near Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway.
The new farm park is about 1 mile outside Castle Douglas and looks set to promise a fun family day out, offering outdoor and indoor children’s play, delicious food in the brand new cafe as well as a gift shop offeringh a large array of items. They are hoping to open in May.
Finaly Carson MSP Met with David McMikan, the driving force behind the project at the Ernespie Farm site, on the outskirts of Castle Douglas yesterday March the 25th.
Mr Carson was pleased to get an update on how works are progressing, with the farm park set to open in May.
He believes that the farm park will attract a significant number of visitors, boosting the local economy and providing new job opportunities.
Commenting Finlay Carson MSP said: “This was a really positive visit to Ernespie Farm, where plans are rapidly progressing ahead of the opening in May.
“With plans for a play area, a café, shop and an outdoor education centre, there is going to be a host of activities to do at the site, which will be sure to attract visitors.
“I was impressed by David’s ambitious plans for the site which will help to create new job opportunities for the region.
“I am looking forward to paying a visit to Ernespie Farm once it is opened in May!”
