Do you have a unique business and want exposure for it? Would you like up to 40,000 people passing your stall over two days? Are you ready to turn heads about what you can showcase?
Youth Beatz is back, and is bigger and better than ever for 2018. This year is the 10th anniversary of Youth Beatz, as well as being a Signature Event in the Scottish Government’s Year of Young People 2018. Youth Beatz 2018 is moving to Park Farm Showfield in Dumfries and will take place over Saturday 30 June and Sunday 1 July, with 40,000 young people attending over the weekend.
Within Youth Beatz we are delighted to have opened a Traders’ Village specifically targeted at young people under the age of 31 to come and showcase their business, products or services to 20,000 people each day.
Whether you operate your business online only, through social media channels, from your bedroom or have an established base – this is for you. We want to give you this opportunity to reach out to thousands of people and raise the visibility of your business! You can bring along your products to sell on the day, or bring along your appointment book and order form for future bookings.
Vice Chair of Nithsdale Area committee, Provost Tracey Little, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for young entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses to such a large audience over 2 days, I am looking forward to seeing the products and services young people in our region have to offer.”
Young People’s Champion, Councillor Adam Wilson, said: “D&G Council’s Year of Young People Plan is about providing our young people with opportunities. I’m delighted that as part of the 10th Youth Beatz festival we will be providing a platform for young entrepreneurs to market their business. I look forward to the Traders’ Village at Youth Beatz.”
Youth Beatz 2018 is a free event. Tickets are required and are available now from the official Youth Beatz website – www.youthbeatz.co.uk
The award winning event is managed through a partnership led by Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Young People’s Service, in conjunction with the Oasis Events Team. Main funders for the 2018 event include the Council’s Nithsdale Area Committee and Event Scotland.
Michael Williams, young volunteer from the Oasis Events Team involved in organising the event, said: “It is great to see that the Traders’ Village will be exclusively for young people, it is inspiring to see young people owning their own business. I hope that other young people visiting the Village will be inspired too.”
