The Management Committee of the MacLeod Pavilion at Kingholm Park, Dumfries is pleased to announce that the social area of the pavilion is now fully available for hire as a training facility to local community groups, businesses, voluntary and other organisations.
Following a period of trial usage by Scottish Gas, the training facility now comprises a complete new set of tables and chairs, overhead projector and screen complete with sound system and internet access. It has the capacity to house courses of up to around 25 participants and a kitchen is available for the provision of refreshments and light lunches.
Committee members believe it is an ideal venue for organisations looking to run small to medium-size training events or meetings at a reasonable cost.
Alex Dingwall, Dumfries-based Operations Manager with Scottish Gas today said: “I have used the Macleod Pavilion to host our ‘Monthly Toolbox Talk’ for the team working on Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership’s Energy Efficiency and Heating Programme.
“Having such a facility means that we are now able to deliver these essential briefings in an environment that fits in nicely with our requirements.”
