Annan & District Rotary Donates Mindfulness Colouring Kits to Local Community Clubs

Annan & District Rotary has donated specially curated mindfulness adult colouring kits to several community groups in the Annan and Gretna areas. These include the Annan Day Centre, Gretna Day Centre, Kate’s Kitchen, the local Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland support group in Annan, and the Loreburn Housing Association’s Later Living Property in Annan. The kits are intended to support residents dealing with various health issues by promoting both mental and physical well-being.

Mindfulness adult colouring is recognised for its ability to help individuals manage stress, enhance concentration, and improve mental clarity. A study by Otago University found that participating in adult mindfulness colouring can have a positive impact on mental health and joint mobility.

Jim Ferguson, Past President of Annan & District Rotary, presented the kits to these local charities. The goal is to introduce a new activity for residents in the Annan and Gretna areas, enabling them to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of this practice.
