Following the recent completion of their car park project at the Multiverse, Crawick Multiverse Trust were able to get in touch with Andy Williamson, Chairman of the Sanquhar and District Men’s Shed to donate surplus materials for use by the Men’s Shed.
Some of the men were recently on site to cut the wood to useable lengths and to transport the material back to the Shed, which is located within St Bride’s Church Hall on the corner of Simpson Road and St Mary’s Street in Sanquhar.
Visitor Services and Administrative Assistant, Erin McColm was on hand to welcome the Men’s Shed and to offer a helping hand.
Sharon Glendinning, General Manager at the Multiverse said: “We were delighted to be able to partner with the Men’s Shed and for our surplus materials to be put to good use in the local community. Thank you to Andy and the members of the Men’s Shed for helping with the removal and transporting.”
The main aim of the Men’s Shed is to provide support to males to help prevent feelings of isolation and loneliness. To learn more about their work and to find support, visit: https://scottishmsa.org.uk/find-a-shed/
