Achievements of finalists to be celebrated and winners revealed at the Scotland’s Towns Conference next month
The finalists including 3 from Dumfries and Galloway have been announced for the second annual Scotland Loves Local Awards.
Individuals, businesses and community organisations from across the country are in the running for the accolades after being nominated by people who have seen and felt the positive impact of their work.
The awards are organised by Scotland’s Towns Partnership (STP) as part of the Scotland Loves Local campaign, which encourages everyone to choose local and support businesses in their communities to build a better, stronger future.
The achievements of all of those shortlisted will be celebrated as part of the Scotland’s Towns Conference at CentreStage in Kilmarnock on Wednesday, November 16th, to which they have all been invited. The day will culminate in the winners being announced by the event host, broadcaster Rona Dougall.

A New Future for Scotland’s Towns will be the theme of the 2022 Scotland’s Towns Conference. It will explore some of the major topics affecting the future of communities, as well as sharing inspirational examples of projects taking place across the country.
Organised in partnership with East Ayrshire Council, the event will also feature a Love Local Town Square, with speakers including Scotland’s Public Finance, Planning and Community Wealth Minister Tom Arthur. It is the first time in three years that the conference has been held in-person.
