A cheque for £150 was recently presented to nursing staff in Ward C5 of Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.
Children and staff from Treasure Island Nursery in Castle Douglas were delighted to make the donation following a coffee morning.
They raised the sum of money in memory of the husband of a nursery staff member, who recently died of bowel cancer.
Cathering Schlag, Nursery Manager, says: “We hope that this donation is useful and that it goes to help some of the wonderful patients being cared for.”
