The largest social landlord in Dumfries and Galloway is inviting customers to find out more about the support services available to them at a special event next month.
Wheatley Homes South, part of Wheatley Group – Scotland’s leading housing, care and property-management group – is hosting a customer conference at the Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries, where customers will be able to learn about the Group’s wraparound support for customers.
The support ranges from providing food through its Eatwell service; welfare benefits advice to help customers access all the benefits they are entitled to, to helping children to read with free books as part of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
In addition to meeting and speaking with housing staff, customers will be able to learn more about the ways Wheatley has supported customers during the cost-of-living crisis.
On the day, tenants will also be able to find out about Wheatley’s bursary programmes, which can help tenants pursue their dreams of further education, as well as apprenticeship schemes and other job opportunities within Wheatley.
Transport to and from the venue will be provided, as will lunch and refreshments on the day.
Alan Glasgow, Managing Director of Wheatley Homes South, said: “We’re doing all we can to support our tenants across Dumfries and Galloway in these challenging times.
“At Wheatley, we offer a range of support services to customers across the region, including helping with the cost of food and fuel bills, accessing benefits and providing bursaries to cover the cost of further education. Our conference will be an opportunity for customers to find out more about the different support we offer.
“We are looking forward to seeing customers from across the region and would encourage all Wheatley customers to join us on the day.”
The conference will be held on Tuesday 4 July 2023 at the Easterbrook Hall, the Crichton, Bankend Road, Dumfries, DG1 4TA from 10:30am -3pm.
Tickets for the conference are on a first-come-first-serve basis. To confirm attendance call 0800 011 3447 or visit: https://forms.office.com/e/7waf2nLsSp
