PAS is excited to take part in the launch of the Dumfries Market Festival on the 14th March (10am-4pm). This will be your next opportunity to have your say in the Revitalising Dumfries Town Centre project.
An initiative of the Dumfries Partnership Action Group and Dumfries & Galloway Council, the Revitalising Dumfries Town Centre project will bring together the views of local people, groups and businesses to create a 10 year priority action plan for Dumfries town centre.
Rob Piggot from PAS, says:
“Come along to the PAS stall, we’ll be running some interactive activities to find out what people think about Dumfries Town Centre. It’ll also be a chance for you to meet some of the team involved in the Revitalising Dumfries Town Centre initiative, and to share your thoughts about how to improve the town centre. We’ll have copies of our town centre community survey available at the stall to gather your views. If you wish to fill it out online please access it here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/revitalisingdumfries”“This is just the beginning of the Revitalising Dumfries Town Centre initiative and we’re keen to bring in as many ideas and views from the wider community as possible to shape what happens going forward. Watch out for more events and opportunities coming up over the next few months to get involved!”
Key to the success of the project will be the participation of as many local people as possible in the making of this action plan, which is being facilitated by community engagement charity PAS (Planning Aid Scotland).
