The fund has been developed by young people from Listen2Us, an activist group for young people who have been in care.

Kyle Murray, Chair of the Champions Board, said: “We’re really chuffed to have received funding from the Life Changes Trust to be able to run this project. For a lot of young people who have been in, or who have now left care, it can be really hard to feel like you’re doing everything on your own. This grant will help young people who have dreams or goals that are out of reach due to their financial circumstances.”
Gavin Stevenson, Chief Executive of Dumfries and Galloway Council, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity and I’m delighted with all of the hard work put in by the Listen2Us group to make this grant a reality. We’re anticipating that there will be a high number of applicants for this fund and are committed to ensuring that word reaches as many young people as possible.”
