Last Friday representatives from local business ‘Jas P Wilson’ went to Dalbeattie Playgroup to hand over a cheque to fund the first year’s rent for their new venue.
A Spokesperson for Jas P Wilson Said “The Play Group had to relocate as their existing venue was no longer suitable for purpose… They conducted an amazing fund raising effort, however remained significantly short of the amount needed to move and also carry out the required changes to the new venue. We offered to add what was needed to reach their target and allow them to make this next step.
The new venue will be an excellent opportunity for Manager Nicola McMurtrie and her team to continue their amazing work in the town.

As large employers within Dalbeattie, with Engineering Workshops, Factory Facilities and Sales & Service departments, we’re proud to be able to support local causes. This new contribution is part of our ongoing range of projects, including our Community Pop Up Shop in the high street for use by charities/schools, and our funding of a vehicle for Dalbeattie Community First Responders and our First Steps Motorsport project.
