Dumfries and Galloway based construction and manufacturing company, Robinsons, have put an emphasis on giving back to their local communities this December. Touched by the stories being shared across the nation, the team decided it was more important than ever to allocate funds to each of their three offices to do a large donation of essentials for local food banks. Their head office in Lockerbie and two supporting offices in Irvine & Cheshire all took part.
Managing Director, Ryan Brown, said; “As well as our usual support of Cash for Kids and local schools, I’m very proud that we have also managed to organise three large donations to our local foodbanks and that we have been able to have a positive impact on so many families. It has been a tough year for everyone, but it has particularly hit those who have lost jobs, been unable to work or who have previously been struggling to make ends meet. I felt there could not be a more appropriate time to do our bit and contribute to the incredible organisations who do so much for those within the local community. I hope that our contribution helps to ease some of the stresses of the Christmas period for those families within the region who need support during this difficult time.”
As well as Robinsons donating essentials, the team themselves have also raised money during the festive period for Cash for Kids and have promoted & housed a donation box for the Cash for Kids gift collection.
Several donations of buildings materials and benches have been made to local community groups, and the team are keeping their fingers crossed that they are able to return to being active in inspiring the next generation at school events and getting out-and-about in the local community again in 2021.
