The community-based Association have announced that they are fully-funding 20 places for the children of some of their tenants in the Wigtownshire area.
Keen to stay involved in their communities, Loreburn regularly partner with local initiatives to host a range of activities and services to support people and neighbourhoods.
Clare Burns, Loreburn’s Community Team Manager for the West, said: “I’m delighted that we can provide this funding. Last year we supported a football initiative so it’s great to now follow this up with rugby.
“For our young people, being involved in sport is of so much benefit to their health and wellbeing – but it’s also an excellent opportunity to have fun with friends and to try something new.”
Perfect for players old and new, the camp will include a mini rugby safety course, Q&A session with senior rugby players and a range of exciting rugby-based games.
Whilst having fun, participants will learn new skills and make friends with other young people in their local community.
Clare continued: “The cost of living has negatively impacted families across our region. We want children to be able to access fantastic activities without adding any further financial pressure.”
The Easter camp runs from 4 April until 10 April, 10.00 – 15.00, and is open to children in Primary classes four to seven.
Loreburn tenants should contact their Neighbourhood Officer to reserve their space on the programme. Otherwise, those interested should contact Neve Finlay on [email protected] or 07856337220.
