Mark Walks The Length Of UK To Help Save Asian Bears

Mark Neil, a local business man from Borgue in Dumfries and Galloway has spent the last year virtually walking the entre 874 miles lenghth of the UK. But Mark hasn’t been doing this in the comfort of his living room or on a tread mill, He has been out in all weathers hiking hills in Galloway, the desert in Spain and finishing his last miles off in the Highlands of Scotland.
Mark told DGWGO “So , at the start of the year i set myself the task of virtually walking the distance of John o Groats to Lands End (874 miles) for Animals Asia. This wonderful charity rescues bears from a lifetime of misery kept in small cages and gives them the freedom they so deserve.
My walk has taken me from the Galloway hills to the Almerian desert in Spain and finally today the iconic Stac Polaidh in the N W Highlands. I sponsored myself and have donated to Animals Asia, I would be really grateful if any of you could spare a few pounds to help them. You can donate HERE
Finally can i thank my friends for joining me on some of my walks, Norrie , Sarah , Katie , Alan , Iseabail , Debbie , Hannah and last but not least my lifelong buddy Smug! If you want to donate just go to Animals Asia and you can , thank you in advance!!”
