A PUBLIC meeting next week will help introduce the new provider of GP practices in Moffat and Lockerbie to the communities they will be serving.
The online meeting next Thursday has been arranged for patients registered with High Street Surgery, Moffat, and Lockerbie Medical Practice, along with elected members and wider stakeholders.
Ideally, this would have been an opportunity to provide a face-to-face introduction to the teams.
However, at this point, and due to current levels COVID-19, this meeting will take place online using Microsoft Teams, and everyone interested in attending is being asked to register in advance by emailing [email protected]
This meeting will take place on Thursday February 10 at 7 pm, and letters have been issued to all patients registered at the Moffat and Lockerbie practices – inviting them to attend and meet the new provider who will be responsible for the delivery of GP services out of the two towns.
Further sessions are planned for mid-March, getting closer to the point when the new provider assumes responsibility for the two practices, and it is hoped that these might be possible to take place in person and expand on any identified topics.
Anyone who has any questions or topics for discussion ahead of the event next Thursday is kindly invited to register and submit them in advance via the email address [email protected]
Patients should note that no action is required around the move to the new management of the practices from April 1, that patients will remain registered with their respective practices and continue to speak to and be seen in their respective practice in either Moffat, the Leadhills branch surgery or Lockerbie, and that all contact details remain unchanged.
