Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway (TSDG) has continued an exciting summer this week by moving its Dumfries office to The Crichton.
The new base at Monreith House is fully accessible and places the charity amongst a large number of other third sector organisations on the estate.
TSDG is touring the region this summer with support roadshows twice a month and has been undertaking a popular free training programme online.
It is also continuing its regular forums offering a networking opportunity in areas including health and social care, children and young people, social enterprise, employability, and a group for chief officers.
Norma Austin Hart, Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are really looking forward to establishing our new base and home. We will be holding an open event in July and look forward to meeting our new neighbours and anyone with an interest in the third sector in Dumfries and Galloway.”
The staff were visited this week by John Dougan, TSDG Board’s chair, who added his delight at the move.
“We have been able to secure a fully accessible, modern office space for our staff here at the Crichton,” he said.
“The Crichton is home to a significant number of third sector organisations, social enterprises, community groups, and businesses, so it feels the natural place for us to be based, going forward. This is an exciting time for TSDG as we continue our collaborative working with partners and colleagues existing and new, throughout Dumfries and Galloway.”
The new office is also easily accessible on public transport from the town centre on the number 5 service, with a bus stop next to the office. To discover more about TSDG, visit their website at www.tsdg.org.uk.
