Over 3 days and evenings on 17th-20th December the local community were invited to view the Christmas lights and decorations on display at Euchan House, Sanquhar.
Mr & Mrs Parham decorate their two-story sandstone property every year for their visiting grand children and this year opened their house free to the public.
The property and garden were adored with the spirit of Christmas, using thousands of lights and hundreds of festive decorations. Each room inside the house had themes, ranging from ‘winter wonderland lounge’, to a ‘nutcracker dining room’ and ‘gingerbread kitchen’. Pipe band members played outside on the lawn amongst the glowing reindeer and candy cane driveway lights, entertaining visitors as they arrived.
Donations collected from raffle sales and received from the public raised during the open days will be used for new uniforms for the Upper Nithsdale Youth Pipe Band.
Mrs Parham said, ‘I wish to thank the local community who supported the event. It was wonderful that so many people came and thank you for the generous donations in aid of our local youth band.’
