The Booktown Writers Third Annual Short Story Competition is now open for entries.
Crime Writer Michael J Malone ( main picture) will be judging ,
Michael was born and brought up in the heart of Burns’ country, just a stone’s throw from the great man’s cottage in Ayr. Well, a stone thrown by a catapult maybe. He has published over 200 poems in literary magazines throughout the UK, including New Writing Scotland, Poetry Scotland and Markings.
His debut novel, Blood Tears was released in 2012, followed by A Taste for Malice in June ’13. His book about modern day successful Scots, Carnegie’s Call was published in October 2012 and his most recent release is The Guillotine Choice.
The prizes for the top three stories are £200, £100 and £50 respectively. The top three and other commended stories will be published in an anthology. For full rules and an entry form please visit:
