DMTC have been established as an amateur musical theatre society since 1922, first forming under the name ‘Dumfries Musical and Operatic Society’ and performing their first show in 1923. To celebrate their 100th year of treading the boards in Dumfries and Galloway, DMTC are producing a special show to commemorate this exciting anniversary.
Dumfries Musical Theatre Company are proud to present: ‘Centenary Extravaganza: A Century of Song’. Showing at The Brigend Theatre, Dumfries from 28th – 30th April 2022.
This fun-filled show will take you through a century of song and musical melodies previously performed by the Company and opening with a number from the very first show the company produced; ‘Les Cloches De Cornville’. Take part in a night to remember and enjoy excerpts and compilations from 100 years’ worth of shows including Calamity Jane, Hello Dolly, Fiddler on the Roof, The Addams Family, The Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado, and Anything Goes, to name just a few!
