Scotlands Oldest Working theatre , here in our very own D&G needs a wee hand this weekend , they sent DGWGO This plea for us to share :-
Theatre Royal – Guild of Players needs you!
On Saturday 10th May we are looking for as many helpers to come and join us in sorting out our vast collection of costumes, props, sets etc up at the Crichton where we have them in storage whilst the redevelopment of the Theatre Royal takes place. We have been given a grant (which is a lovely 6 figure sum) and are accountable to the Heritage Lottery Fund. The only way we can keep this grant is by putting in a considerable amount of volunteer time. We are looking for any volunteers who could come and give us a hand (no experience necessary) between 10am – 4pm. Even if you could give up an hour it would make a huge difference! We would really like to see some of our familiar faces back joining us but would also be delighted to see some new faces who would like to join the cause. We are all volunteers in the Guild who are determined to keep the Theatre Royal going but need your help.
