SFRM has seen street artists from the UK and Europe collaborate with locally-based artists to produce a series of fabulously colourful artworks on everything from houses to barns.
Leah Black, Spring Fling Director, said: “With just a few days to go there are preparations underway in studios all over Dumfries and Galloway to welcome visitors from across Scotland and from far beyond.
“There’s a huge amount to enjoy at this year’s Spring Fling, and the Rural Murals all over Dumfries and Galloway, are a special highlight.
“It’s a chance to meet artists and makers of all kinds, to browse, to buy and even to try your own hand at creating artworks. And it’s all taking place in one of the country’s most beautiful regions – there couldn’t be a better way to enjoy a Bank Holiday break.”

This year’s Spring Fling takes place from 24-26 May is the biggest in its 12-year history and makes an ideal day-trip or weekend away for families.
As part of the 2014 Year of Homecoming, the entire event takes the idea of ‘home’ as its main theme.
