Anne-Marie Smith, an amateur photographer from Hightae, Dumfries and Galloway, has, yesterday, been awarded the title of Equine Photographer of the Year 2023 with the Training Barn, Home of Equine Photography. Anne-Marie’s winning image features her very own Irish Draught Horse, ‘Randal’.

” I am absolutely over the moon to have won this competition and what makes it even more special for me is that the winning image features my very own gorgeous horse, ‘Randal’. There were over 200 entries in this competition and my image was up against some beautiful photographs by professional photographers. I am extremely proud and honoured to have been crowned Equine Photographer of the Year 2023 by the Training Barn”
