The team at Unit Three Gallery are very excited about their 2017 Summer Exhibition, which will run between July and September. This year the exhibition is in association with the RSPB reserve at the Crook of Baldoon, Bladnoch.
Louise Martin from the Gallery told DGWGO “The entire exhibition will have a wildlife theme and we very much want to highlight the work done at the reserve and the wildlife and countryside of the Machars.
As part of the exhibition we would like to launch an art competition. We would like entrants to produce a piece of work that best represents the “Crook of Baldoon”. The subject matter can be the landscape and/or the wildlife found in it and is open to any form of art media including mixed media and sculpture.“
All competitors should be amateur artists, (please see terms and conditions*). There will be two categories – persons under 16 years of age and persons aged 16 and over.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
Closing date for entry will be Monday 3rd July 2017.
Louise continued “The prizes are as follows: £25 worth of art materials for under 16’s category and £75 worth of art materials for the aged 16 and over category and have been generously donated by the RSPB.
The winning entries in both categories will be exhibited in the Summer Exhibition at Unit Three Gallery.
To register your entry to the competition please complete the form on our website Unit Three Gallery or call 07470457175. Entrants for the under 16’s category will need the permission of a parent or guardian to enter.
