Youth faller from Cuckoo Bridge, Dumfries.
Police Scotland is investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident which happened on the Cuckoo overbridge in at around 11.30 hours today (Tuesday 4 August 2015). At that time a 15 year old boy has fallen from the bridge onto the roadway. He was treated at the scene and thereafter removed to Dumfries and Royal Infirmary where he is currently being treated for serious injuries. Inspector Stephen Stiff of Police Scotland said “we are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area to get in touch if they saw this incident. The boy was not struck by any vehicles on the roadway and appears to have fallen around 30’ onto the road from the bridge. Anyone wishing to help can call Police Scotland in Dumfries on 101.”
