Road Policing Officers at Lockerbie are appealing for information after a serious road crash involving a van and a car on the B721 Annan to Gretna road on Saturday, 24 July.
Around 12.15pm on Saturday afternoon, officers were called to a report of a road crash involving an Iveco van and a Honda Jazz on the B721, near to Gretna.
Officers attended and the 41 year-old driver of the Honda Jazz was taken by Air Ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. Hospital staff describe his condition as critical.
A 65 year-old passenger in the Honda was taken by Air Ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. Hospital staff describe her condition as stable.
The 35 year-old driver of the Iveco van was taken by Ambulance to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, having sustained minor injuries.
Sergeant Lloyd Caven from the Divisional Road Policing Unit at Lockerbie said: “Our investigation into the cause of this crash is ongoing. I would appeal to anyone who was driving on this road around the time of the crash who seen either of these vehicles, or who has dash-cam footage to contact us.
