£5000 WORTH OF JEWELLERY STOLEN FROM DUMFRIES FLAT

Police Scotland officers in Dumfries are investigating a break-in to a flat in St Michaels Street in the town.  The thieves struck sometime between 1815 hours and 1940 hours on Tuesday 19 July 2016.  A large amount of personal jewellery including diamond rings, bracelets and earrings has been stolen in the raid and the value is in excess of £5000.

Constable Peter Meechan at Dumfries said “this break-in has happened over a relatively short period of time when the house was empty.  We want to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of St Michaels Street in the town on Tuesday evening and who may have seen or heard something suspicious, in particular in the area near to the premises of The Beauty Box.
