66 Year Old Man Killed In A75 Crash At Annan

Road policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash on the A75 at Annan on Thursday, 9 January.

The incident happened west of the Annan east junction around 1.50pm and involved a red Suzuki Ignis and a black Nissan Pulsar.

Emergency services attended and the driver of the Suzuki, a 66-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Nissan, a 56-year-old man, was taken to hospital and his condition is described as critical but stable.

The road was closed for crash investigation work and re-opened around 10.20pm.

Sergeant Neil Moffat said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died and they have asked for privacy at this difficult time.

“Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances and we are asking anyone who saw what happened to get in touch. In addition, if you have dash-cam please check it to see if there I anything that could assist our investigation.”
