Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses to a two car road traffic collision which happened on the A75 road at its junction with the B6357, at the east junction for Annan, Dumfries and Galloway.
The crash happened at around 1100 hours on Sunday 9 October 2016 and involved a Honda Jazz car which was driven by an 83 year old man from Dumfries and an Audi A1 car being driven by a 69 year old woman from Berkshire. As a result of this crash both drivers and both passenger from the cars were taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary after being removed from their respective vehicles by Scottish Fire and Rescue personnel. The driver of the Honda Jazz has since died within DGRI, on Wednesday 12 October 2016.
Sergeant Leigh McCulloch of the Road Policing Unit said “we are carrying out a full crash investigation into this collision and would ask that anyone who may have witnessed it to get in touch with us at Lockerbie on the 101 number.”
