Bookbug Week is a celebration of Scottish Book Trust’s Early Years Bookbug programme, which encourages and supports mums, dads and carers to share books, talk, sing and cuddle with their children from birth, and helps every child in Scotland to develop a love of reading. Bookbug Sessions are held regularly all year round in libraries and community centres across Scotland.
Chair of the Council’s Community and Customer Services Councillor Tom McAughtrie said:
“It’s great to see so many events taking place in our libraries across Dumfries and Galloway for Bookbug Week.”
