A DONATION of nearly £2000 has been made to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary’s Children’s Ward in memory of a young child.
The sum of £1890.52 was raised by Adyn Jackson of Dumfries, paying tribute to young Tyler McQueen who sadly passed away in January.
Adyn raised the money by organising a charity darts match in Locharbriggs Social Club for the Children’s Ward – asking for the sum raised to be used to purchase a ‘blue box’ containing equipment for children requiring palliative care.
Deputy Charge Nurse Sarah Gemmell said: “Everyone on the Children’s Ward is hugely appreciative of this fantastic donation, made in the memory of Tyler McQueen, and very grateful to Adyn for his kind actions.”
