The First Base Agency is a small charity based in Dumfries in the south west Scotland giving 4000 food parcels a year. The local independent food bank charity has been running a fundraiser in an attempt to raise enough money see them through the coming winter. They need to raise £10,000, and as of a week or so ago, they were languishing at well under half of that total.

website for the food bank to help their digital presence. The team at Creatomatic have also offered to match any donations raised over the last fortnight which is due to end this coming Monday, 23rd October.

Kit Allen suggested Creatomatic could help raise awareness of the fundraising campaign which has helped the charity fundraiser gain an extra bit of momentum. They
emailed their client base to let them know that this vital local charity is struggling and could really benefit from a little help. Since the email from the Creatomatic team went out, there has been some extraordinarily generous public contributions, the total has quickly jumped up to £8745.00 (with another few hundred pounds currently clearing).
Kit Allen told DGWGO “We’ve been working with the First Base Agency for a couple of years now, the service Mark and the team provide is absolutely vital to literally hundreds of people and families across Dumfries & Galloway. When we heard about their fundraising appeal to raise £10,000 funding, we absolutely had to get involved and put our money where our mouth was.”
He continued “In short – we’re well on course to smash that target; another £1500 (of which Creatomatic will contribute half) will see them well and firmly over the line. One last shove between now and the weekend will, hopefully, see that happen.”

First Base Agency Dumfries is an emergency Food Project now giving out 4000 food parcels a year. They alos have an Education Project, where they visit schools across our region and give drug and alcohol awareness presentations to 2500 pupils.
