Two Darts mad Stewartry cousins ‘John Bean McNally’ 29 from Kirkcudbright and ‘Ian Briggs’ 24 from Twynholm have set them selves a 24 hour Dartathon challenge this weekend to raise money for two charities that are very close to their hearts, ‘The Respiratory Unit at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary’ and ‘The Fishermans Mission’.
John told DGWGO “We chose these two charity’s because my dad has lung disease and is currently in the respiratory unit ward at DGRI and has been for 7 weeks, and I myself have asthma and have used the ward previously. The second charity we chose to support is ‘The Fishermans Mission’ which has helped do a lot for my late friend Steven Ned Roberts family, Steven lost his life to the sea 4 years ago.”
John went on to say “We have had great sponsorship from many local businesses including Griersons Butchers Castle Douglas, Kempleton Cars Tongland, TH Carsons Dalbeattie, Pure Beauty Kirkcudbright, we even have great some raffle prizes from Queen of the South, John Henderson and Ross Montgomery. We would like to thank each and every person and business that has supported us so far.”
