Innes contacted DGWGO this week to let us know about a fantastic Charity fund raiser he is doing , to raise money for local Lockerbie charity Sports driving unlimited .
Innes Told DGWGO , “My sister was involved in a serious car accident 6 years ago resulting in serious life changing injures including a serious head injury and damage to her brain. I will be doing the National 3 peaks challenge in order to raise funds for a local charity (Sports driving Unlimited). http://www.sportsdrivingunlimited.org.uk “
Sports Driving is a registered charity started in 2007 by a small group of enthusiastic volunteers who are keen for people with an impairment to enjoy the fun, excitement and health benefits of taking part in sports carriage driving.
They agreed to use the operating name ‘Sports Driving Unlimited’ to put into words their belief that anyone with a physical or mental impairment can take part in sports carriage driving and benefit from therapeutic contact with ponies.
The Three Peaks Challenge is an attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales ‘in one go’ and we will be doing this over a period of 24hrs or 1 day starting on the early hours of friday the 13th of March 2015.
“This charity has been a great part of my sister recovery and works wonders with disabled adults and Children from around the region. any support would be greatly appreciated. “
