• Thursday meals project for those in need
• Messy Church – an all age weekly church activity
• Garden project for food parcels/food bank
The shop, which will be located in the former Bakers Oven on Dumfries High Street will have something for everyone – giftware, books, clothes, and quality bric a brac
The charity shop is just one of a series of activities organised by St George’s Be Part Of It group (BPOI) throughout the year to help sustain church activities in the community
.
Convener of the Group Joyce Reekie commented:
“The BPOI programme is a great way for both church members and non- church members to support those activities which provide a real benefit into the community ( NB highlighted above) Our Charity Pop Up Shop is key to raising much needed funds and we are looking for as many enthusiastic shoppers as possible to visit us over the two days – by doing so they will be helping us to help our community!”
