The A75 will be facing closure for resurfacing work and diversions will be in place at ‘The Glen’ to both east and west bound traffic this weekend from Friday night at 7pm right through until Monday morning at 6am .
£200k of resurfacing work will be carried out on a section of the A75 The Glen east and west bound which will improve the road surface for those using the route.
Scotland TranServ, on behalf of Transport Scotland will carry out the resurfacing work from Friday 20 November to Monday 23 November 2015.
To ensure the safety of road users and roadworkers the works will be carried out under a total closure from 1900hrs on Friday evening with the road reopening at 0600hrs on Monday morning. The road will be closed between Garroch Roundabout and Dromore Roundabout.
Gordon Wilson, Contract Director, Scotland TranServ said:
“This essential maintenance scheme is vital to ensuring we prolong the lifespan of the road surface therefore benefiting road users using the A75.
“We are doing everything we can to minimise disruption by carrying these works out over the weekend however we would advise motorists to plan ahead and leave plenty of time for their journeys.”

Eastbound traffic will diverted off at Haugh of Urr Jct to Dalbeattie and re-join the A75
at Garroch Rbt – A75, B794, A711, A75
Please note: local access will be maintained to Springholm and Crocketford from the west with the full closure
thereafter.
