Members of the Council’s Stewartry Area Committee recently met with representatives of the Auchencairn Link Park project to learn more about the project following its opening in July.
Stewartry Area Committee, which provided grant funding to the project, invited the representatives to give members an overview of the project, give details of community engagement, demonstrate the benefits for the community, and show the impact of the grant, which enabled the group to transform this space.
Councillor Finlay Carson, chairman of Stewartry Area Committee, said, “This project highlights the strength of our communities. The sense of civic pride is apparent in the journey outlined to us today.”
Vice chairman, Councillor Ian Blake, said, “I think that this is one of the best community projects that I have ever seen.”
