On Tuesday the 12th of August The Kippford RNLI Lifeboat was called out to rescue a couple and their dog , who had become Cut off by the fast moving tide at Sandyhills beach on the solway coast .
The Couple had managed to scramble up the cliffs and notified rescue services with their mobile phone .
The Life Boat crew reported on their facebook page that it was extreme conditions of high wind’s and a Huge tide , They managed to locate the couple who were in the region on holiday , The RNLI boat stayed in attendance while the Coastguard teams from Annan and Kirkcudbright escorted the Couple who were unhurt to safety .
