Dumfries & Galloway Chamber of Commerce (DGChamber) has chosen Cash for Kids as the charity it will be supporting at this year’s annual DGChamber Business Lunch.
The region’s premier networking event takes place at Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries, on October 5, heralding the start of the second Dumfries & Galloway Business Week.
DGChamber President Brian Rennie said: “Each year DGChamber supports charitable causes through the fundraising raffle at our annual business lunch. We have supported many varied and international causes in the past but this year we have decided that we want to keep the money raised here in Dumfries & Galloway.
“We have chosen Westsound’s Cash for Kids as our first official DGChamber Charity and we hope that the Chamber Lunch will provided much-needed funds for this very worthy, local cause. We have some amazing prizes to be won, BTSport have given a one year subscription to the new BTSport Europe pack – the only place to see all the UEFA Champions League, one year worth of broadband & calls and the new AMC entertainment channel and a BT Youview box.”
Westsound’s Cash for Kids Charity Manager, Tommy Jardine, commented: “It’s great to have DGChamber come on board to support Cash for Kids. As a charity we help children and families from across the region, working all year round to help families buy Christmas presents and provide treats for their children; things most of us take for granted.
“It’s fantastic that DGChamber, the voice for local businesses; is helping to raise awareness of, and funds for Cash or Kids, as its Chamber Charity.”
DGChamber’s Annual Business Lunch takes place at Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries, on Monday, October 5th, as part of Dumfries & Galloway Business Week, which is being led and co-ordinated by Dumfries & Galloway Council, with key business support partners across the region.
Early-bird tickets are available until September 1, priced £30 for DGChamber members and £40 for non-members. Other rates will apply after this date.
